Rooted in Passion

Born from experience. Driven by a love of good food.

We’ve been cooking Indian food for Dublin since 2004. At Käri, that experience comes together with fresh local produce, great hospitality and a simple passion for cooking and serving really good food.

Warmly lit dining room at Kāri

A menu that celebrates Indian flavours

Our menu features a blend of traditional Indian dishes (some of them rarely found outside their local regions) alongside some of our personal favourites that we’ve always dreamed of sharing. Each dish is lovingly prepared by our chefs, combining authentic Indian spices with the finest locally sourced Irish ingredients.

Our Story

Named after the Tamil word käri (கறி), meaning “sauce”

käri celebrates the roots of the word “curry” and the rich culinary heritage of India.

Since opening in 2023 we have been honoured by glowing reviews from critics and our local community alike — blending authentic regional dishes with modern favourites, made from the finest Irish and traditional ingredients.

“This was probably the best Indian food I've ever had! Went with my parents one night after work, and none of us eat Indian very regularly, so it was nice to get authentic, passionately made food. I had the papri chaat to start, chicken makhani and boiled rice, and for dessert the selection of 3 traditional desserts. Every bite of the food was delicious, and the servers were really nice and helpful, my only issue was the atmosphere. Unfortunately a table next to us was incredibly loud and it was disrupting the entire restaurant, if it wasn't for this it would have been a 10/10 experience!”
